About This Spot

Stepping into Bricks Coffee House feels like settling into a well-loved corner of the neighborhood—unpretentious, inviting, and quietly warm. The hum of friendly conversations melds with the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee, setting a relaxed pace that invites visitors to pause and unwind. It’s the sort of place where the familiar bustle of a busy day softens into a moment of calm, shared over thoughtfully prepared drinks and simple, satisfying bites.

This independent coffee shop has a quietly confident charm, marked by a limited but carefully chosen menu that feels just right for a casual catch-up or a brief respite. Whether it’s the gentle sweetness of a caramel latte, the rich depth of an espresso, or a creamy Oreo milkshake that catches your eye, each option pairs effortlessly with the kind of hearty, homey snacks that feel like a small indulgence without fuss—like cheese toasties and baked treats that come in generous portions.

What stands out most here is the genuine warmth of the people behind the counter, whose kindness and attentiveness shape the whole experience. They make every visit feel welcoming, whether you’re dropping in with little ones or meeting a friend you've missed. This is a place that listens to ordinary moments and quietly turns them into something just a little better—the kind of spot that reminds you why local cafés matter beyond just the coffee.

Met a friend here for coffee. We had a lovely warm welcome from the staff, who were very friendly. Nice, busy place and good coffee! Never been before as I moved away from the area years ago, but it was a convenient meet up spot.

Lovely independent coffee shop that provides a level of service that is second to none. Would recommend for a coffee or a light bite.

This is a delightful little gem. Very simple limited selection which makes it ideal for a simple snack and drink. The toasted sandwiches are great and a really good selection of cakes. Huge portions and the mint flavoured Rocky Road was superb and the Flapjack was the best I have ever had. It was huge so took part of it home and had it with a cuppa. Whole nuts, loafs of fruit. Fantastic. Who ever makes their cakes is very very good. But what really makes it special are the staff. They are outstanding. Friendly, helpful, full of fun and vitality. Really lovely girls. Could not do enough.

I went in to the cafe with a 3 year old and my 4 month old twins. A difficult task in the best of times. The ladies In the cafe made my experience so lovely. They were kind, helpful, and understanding of my huge pram ! Being around people like that can make difficult days seem so much easier, so I can’t thank you enough. Also great coffee and yummy food.

Great place for a coffee stop especially compared to other local places; lovely staff that make such an effort to accommodate and the cake choices are good - i can highly recommend the ginger loaf, a big piece that’s surprisingly light and non sickly . We’ve also had the toasted sarnies and the only slight negative is I wish they also did sourdough toasties here then it’d be perfect! But at least there’s always a heated sausage roll or toasted cheese scone & marmite until then . Had the best iced cappuccino on warmer days, very well made here, as they’re never quite right anywhere else.

Great coffee shop a little pricey but certainly worth it. I guess things are just more expensive these days. Can recommend the ginger loaf and oat latte. Enjoy!

Lovely friendly cafe. The staff always seem to be enjoying working which adds to the atmosphere. They greet customers with a smile and welcome. The food available is always fresh. They have a good variety of fresh cake which goes down a treat with a good cup of tea/coffee, served to your table. Definitely worth a visit.
